Important changes to the Companies Act
As of 1st January 2007 changes in the Companies Act (section 349/351 Companies Act 1985) stipulate a requirement for companies to identify themselves and display information within all electronic media including their website, as follows:
- Details of the company name (even if different from the trading name), registered number and registered office address;
- “Contact Us” pages must have a registered office address easily accessible;
- the company’s VAT registration number must be displayed.
You may already be aware of these requirements; however you may prefer to contact your professional advisor for further information on this subject.
As an existing Samarind customer, we are offering to make these changes for a nominal charge of £60.00 + VAT. You simply need to email the information listed above along with the FTP login details of your website to web@samarind.co.uk
If you are an existing Samarind web customer, and Samarind have created your website after 1st January 2006, we are offering to make these changes for you free of charge. You simply need to email the information listed above to web@samarind.co.uk.
