PlusNet Passwords

PlusNet Passwords

You may or may not yet be aware that Plusnet have sent out an email (please see below) warning of a potential security threat on their website discussion forums and advising you change your internet password. What Plusnet have failed to mention is that once you have changed your login password you will no longer be able to connect to the internet until your broadband router is re-configured with your new password! This applies to any account with Plusnet, including business and home broadband connections.

If you would like your internet password changed please contact us on 01244 288281 and we will arrange this for you. If you are a Samarind Support Customer we can do this remotely and free of charge. If you are not a Samarind Support Customer we can re-configure your router and change your internet password for a nominal fee of £75 + VAT.

Should you change your password? The security risk is very small, especially if you do not use the Plusnet discussion forums, however it's always better to be safe than sorry!

Please ensure this information is passed on to any of your staff who may have a home broadband account with Plusnet.
