Samarind now supply Windows Vista
Now Microsoft Vista and Office 2007 are fully released, Samarind will be quoting and supplying new PCs with Microsoft Windows Vista Business and Office 2007.
For the most part, there won’t be any problems for the user getting used to the way Vista works, overall it’s quite like earlier versions of Windows! Vista works with quite a similar desktop arrangement to XP, but it is sleeker, better designed, and with a few extra features such as the very nifty ‘search’ facility which allows you to find files, folders, applications etc by typing in the name rather than scroll through a load of files. We’ve had no problems with Vista and a number of Samarind staff including our engineers are running Vista with no issues; however as with all new software there will be a bit of a learning curve, with end users having to get used to the newer interface systems and software.
We don’t think there’ll be any problems in the near future with Vista installed products, however we would advise you to familiarise yourself with the system and make full use of our support teams! Also, as Vista becomes the standard it’s worth checking with your software suppliers that any database applications are Vista compatible.
If you have any further queries, please call Peter Reed on 01244 288281 who will be willing to discuss any issues you may have.
