Samarind Helps Telford's Warehouse To Go Mobile

Telford’s Warehouse in Chester, one of the north west’s leading live music venues, announces the launch of a mobile app for its customers.

The app provides information about forthcoming events at the venue and is completely free to download. The app comes in Android and iPhone versions, both are available now.

The Telford's mobile app is designed to provide a quick view of what's on at Telford's, so if you're travelling home from Uni, returning from holiday or a business trip, or you're simply on a night out in Chester and want to see some great live music, you can easily check out what's on at Telford's Warehouse.

The mobile application has been developed by Deeside based Samarind Limited, one of the UK's longest established bespoke software houses. Samarind's software director, Miranda Pothiawala explains: "We're known for developing world class business critical software applications, both for Windows and the web, but we're not yet widely known for developing mobile applications. We're delighted to partner with Telford's to develop something that's actually very simple, but has a recognisable value. The sign of a good application is its usefulness and not its complexity, and so we hope that Telford's customers will embrace this user-friendly gadget to keep in touch with events, wherever they are."

Jeremy Horrill, Telford's owner added, "Telford's has been here for a long time, but we like to be in tune with our customers' needs. We already have several thousand followers on Twitter and Facebook, and so the mobile app seems an appropriate addition. We hope all our customers young, and once young, will embrace this latest addition to our communication channels."

To download the app simply visit iTunes Store or the Android Marketplace and search for "Telford's".

Telford's Warehouse was established in the early 1980's following the conversion of the original Grade II listed building by local architect, James Brotherhood. Originally conceived by the famous industrial engineer Thomas Telford in the 1790's, the Warehouse stands as a magnificent example of Georgian architecture and as a reminder of the once thriving port of Chester.

Although the building has seen many changes over the past two hundred years or so, it's very much in the present. To find out more about Telford's Warehouse and details of the mobile app, visit www.telfordswarehousechester.com
