Samarind Limited has won the 'Technology Innovation Award' for 2008 at the Flintshire Business Awards
Samarind Limited has won the 'Technology Innovation Award' for 2008 at the Flintshire Business Awards, held at Northop Country Park recently. Samarind's founder directors Sadik and Miranda Pothiawala were presented with the award in recognition of the development of 'Samarind RMS', the company's own leading edge software application for the pharmaceutical industry.
Samarind RMS has been developed to manage the whole process of acquiring and maintaining drug licence submissions, rather than only the associated documents. This includes all related data about the drug itself, details of the licence applications, information about any key partners, and all communications from the respective national authorities and key stakeholders. It’s a complete and time efficient regulatory toolset for the pharmaceutical industry, including the essential eCTD creation and viewing tools and document management.
Miranda Pothiawala, Samarind's Director of Software commented, "The process of drug discovery and development is a hugely expensive one, which makes protecting that investment by efficiently managing the life-cycle of pharmaceutical licences, evermore essential.
