Samarind provides two types of software; our own in-house bespoke database software, and software developed by other companies.
bespoke database software
At Samarind we design, construct, test, implement and support a wide range of tailor-made business software applications. In last 18 years we've developed well over one hundred bespoke software applications for more than 80 businesses, using a variety of platforms and languages.
Our team of professional developers have over 60 years programming experience between them, and they produce good looking, high performance software solutions that are also very easy to use.
Our customers range from manufacturing companies and professional service providers to universities and banks and, whilst many are household names, an increasing number are smaller, more specialist businesses who recognise the many advantages of a bespoke software solution.

We do sell other people's software as well. As part of our networks services we sell the usual operating systems (Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003, Novell Netware), general office products (Microsoft Office, Lotus Smartsuite), a variety of server-based email solutions (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, Novell Groupwise, Mail Daemon), database servers (Microsoft SQL Server, Lotus Domino, Oracle), anti-spam and anti-virus software by Network Associates, Symantec & Sophos, and a variety of backup and recovery software (Veritas BackupExec, Symantec Ghost).
Samarind is also a long-standing and experienced reseller of, and developer with, the Sage range of accounting software. Many of Samarind's applications are sales and purchase order processing systems, which integrate fully with Line 50's ledgers. This allows businesses a degree of sophistication and flexibility that is not available in the standard Line 50 package, while still using the many excellent features of the Sage Line 50 accounting system.
We recognize that from time-to-time there is a need to provide services that are not directly available through our own in-house resources. This includes dedicated Sage training courses. To ensure that our customers are not disappointed, Samarind is able to refer you to our Sage Training Partners – Accountability Training & Recruitment Limited, based in North Wales near to Chester.
Accountability specialises in Sage Accounts Training and Microsoft Training as well as providing comprehensive Bookkeeping & Payroll Support.
