Meadow Foods
With a £250m turnover, Meadow Foods is the UK's largest cream processing business and the only independent manufacturer of sweetened dairy products. Its growth has been consistent and organic since its foundation in 1992 and the company's management team identified a need to communicate more effectively with its customers in a dynamic and ever-changing market.
Samarind was commissioned to develop a new website that was better suited to Meadow's branding, but also showcased all of Meadow Foods' products. The new website also needed to increase the company's presence in the search engines and provide Meadow's own in-house marketing team with a means to make key changes to the site's content. Samarind developed a fully search engine optimised website using CSS and XHTML, with the SamarindCMS content management system supported by a back-end SQL database.
Gateway To Wales Hotel
Having created the original website for The Gateway To Wales Hotel, Samarind were once again commissioned to design and build their new website to coincide with a major refurbishment of the hotel.
The brief was simple; a sleek, modern look to match the new interior styling of the hotel, whilst also providing content management facilities to allow hotel staff to update the site's content quickly and easily.
J & K Engineering
J&K Engineering is a mechanical engineering services company, recently founded by former Graphoprint plant managers Kevin Williams and Jim Glen. When Graphoprint went into receivership leaving its staff redundant, Kevin and Jim decided to offer their services on a freelance basis to the purchasers of Graphoprint's printing presses.
Knowing a professional website would be an essential marketing tool, J&K Engineering required something that would meet their initial budgetary needs, but could also be scaled up as the business developed. Samarind were commissioned to design and build a professional looking website that was optimised for search engines with a scaleable framework. J&K Engineering has already received lots of online inquiries and that's helping the company to expand into new areas of expertise.
Lakeside Products
Lakeside Products Limited is a recently established print and packaging broker. As part of its core marketing strategy the company wished to develop a website, and chose Samarind for the project.
It was important for Lakeside to start with a fairly simple website but ensure it could be easily expanded on to grow with the company. Samarind's scalable development methodology ensures that this can happen easily over the coming years.
WMT
Worldwide Marine Technologies is a globally renowned producer of technical operating and training manuals for the marine and off-shore oil and gas industries. As part of its continued growth, WMT moved into new premises in 2007 and to reflect the company's success they commissioned Samarind to develop a new website.
The brief was to develop a clean and modern looking fully search engine optimised website that would provide WMT's staff with the facility to manage key areas of the content themselves. The website also needed to have various levels of user security for accessing technical documentation and sample manuals.
WASP
WASP, a Chester based company, specialise in the installation, repair and maintenance of windows and doors for the commercial market.
WASP commissioned Samarind to build a new website that they could use to promote their services on the internet, and showcase some of the prestigious projects they have completed, such as the refurbishment of The Midland Hotel in Morecambe, a reknowned Art Deco landmark building.
Nationwide Holiday Service
The Nationwide Holiday Service is an innovative start up holiday website for NHS Staff. The website is primarily focussed on the 1.3 million NHS staff (Western Europe's largest employer) and it will be accessible via the NHS Trust intranet.
Samarind were commissioned to develop a content managed website that allows nhsholidays.com staff to update the site in-house, whilst allowing NHS staff to browse and select holiday properties, and contact vendors and operators directly to complete their holiday booking. The site also provides a list of key visitor attractions, restaurants, bars, theatres and general entertainment, ensuring the full array of bargain quality holidays for the staff of the NHS.
Corbett Bookmakers
Corbett Bookmakers are one of the UK's largest independent bookmakers, with 60 branches in North West England and Wales.
Corbett Bookmakers had recently re-branded their branches as betterbetcorbett, updating their logo and company colours. They approached Samarind to create a new website to compliment their new branding with a fresh new website at www.betterbetcorbett.co.uk. The website provides their customers with all the information they need to know about what's going on in their branches at any time, from special offers to current job vacancies.
APHC
As part of a wide-ranging project to co-incide with their being awarded the Competent Persons Scheme for plumbing and heating engineers, APHC, the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors, commissioned Samarind to provide a complete website and software solution to administer this scheme, and also to give a more consistent and modern brand image, together with a navigation system that made it easier for the user to access the wealth of information APHC make available online.
APHC Competent Persons Scheme
APHC, the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors, operate the Competent Persons Scheme for plumbing and heating engineers on behalf of The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
APHC commissioned Samarind to provide a complete website and software solution to administer this scheme, and as part of this commission, www.competentplumber.co.uk was born with the aim of providing a wealth of information about the scheme to plumbers, building control officers, and of course, homeowners.
Ultimate Safaris and Islands
Start up travel company, Ultimate Safaris and Islands, commissioned Samarind to design and develop a website to promote their luxury African safaris and Indian Ocean island holidays.
Ultimate Safaris and Islands specialise in tailor-made, luxury holidays, and this is reflected in the high quality imagery used in their website. The website also showcases the company's intimate knowledge of their destinations, providing a large amount of information to give prospective travellers a real feel for the ultimate African safari holiday.
JPH Furniture Retail Warehouse
Established in 1989, JPH Furniture Retail Warehouse in Deeside, North Wales, provides a range of high quality contemporary and traditional furniture. Focussing on value for money, excellent service and customer satisfaction, JPH wanted to make product information more accessible to its customers, and commissioned Samarind to develop a new website, complete with search engine optimisation and an online catalogue.
The old website didn't provide a facility to update product information, meaning customers were not aware of the latest special offers or new ranges of furniture. The new website provides JPH with a key marketing tool through which it can keep customers updated on a regular basis and increase the levels of sales enquiries as a result.
Assured Vehicle Rental
Assured Vehicle Rental offers a comprehensive, international service, accessing all major rental companies and smaller independent firms, to find the right car for the right rental period at the right price. Whilst most of AVR's business comes from corporate clients, they were getting some individual applications via their website and they wished to build on this. However, AVR's old website just wasn't performing well enough, so the company commissioned Samarind to develop a brand new website, complete with search engine optimisation and a full online booking capability.
John Dale
John Dale is a company who manufacture a range of wet wipes, facial tissues and household wipes. Their existing website did not tie in with their corporate branding, so they approached Samarind to create a new website that better suited their branding, but also showcased all their products and was optimised so that it could be found easily in the internet search engines.
I Want A Property
I Want A Property, www.iwantapropertyinspain.uk.com,is one of the web's leading names in Spanish property. A database driven site, it allows property agents all over Spain to post their properties for sale. Samarind maintain this popular site, featuring some 33,000 pages, and ensure that it keeps it's high profile position in Google's search results, providing maximum exposure for the property agents.

No1RentaCar, www.no1rentacar.uk.com, is an online car rental provider. Visitors can book and pay online for a car rental booking in over 5,000 locations worldwide.
